UDance was founded in 2007 by Jessie Forman and has grown substantially in 6 years. The 1st UDance was held in the Trabant Student Center at University of Delaware and was sponsored by 2 Greek organizations - Sigma Phi Epsilon and Alpha Epsilon Phi. In 2009, The Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation partnered with UDance and helped the event grow significantly.

Today, UDance is an event that brings together the entire university community. Students spend the entire year fundraising to fight childhood cancer and truly feel the cumulation of their efforts at the event in the spring. UDance continues to benefit The B+ Foundation, which honors the memory of Andrew McDonough. You can read more about Andrew's story here. Student organizations have also gotten the chance to "adopt" B+ Heroes, children who are battling cancer.

With your help, UDance will continue to support the B+ Foundation's three specific objectives:

  • Providing financial assistance for families of critically ill children
  • Sponsoring research to find cures for pediatric cancer and advancements in chemotherapy
  • To "live like Andrew" and to keep the B+ Message alive
UDance has raised over $2.3 million!
